Sean Gregory May is a professional basketball player from the United States of America and plays as a power forward. At the Bloomington High School North, he became a 3-time All-State selection and was also named to the 2002 McDonald’s All-American High School team.
May went on to attend the University of North Carolina and became the starting center for the Tar Heels between 2003 and 2005. In the 2005 NCAA Tournament, May was named as the Most Outstanding Player after he led the UNC team to their fourth National Championships. May scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds in the final game against the University of Illinois.

After his junior year, May decided to enter the NBA Draft and was picked at 13th by the Charlotte Bobcats. He was one of the lottery picks of the 2005 NBA Draft and began his professional career with an MVP Award in the Rocky Mountain Revue Summer League. His rookie season was hampered by an injury in December and he was required to undergo a micro fracture surgery on the right knee. As a result, he missed the entire 2007-08 season while facing some problems in the 2008-09 season’s start.
May was extremely tired and out of shape and was put on the inactive list till he regains his fitness.
