High School and College Career
Slawson attended Pinewood Preparatory School in Summerville, South Carolina. Later, he college basketball for Furman University from 2018 to 2023.
As a senior in 2021-22, he was named the Southern Conference (SoCon) Defensive Player of the Year and the First Team All-SoCon.
Slawson decided to utilize the extra year of eligibility granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and return to Furman for a fifth season in 2022-23.
He was named the SoCon Player of the Year in 2023.
Professional Career
Slawson was selected with the 54th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2023 NBA Draft. On July 2, 2023, he signed a two-way contract with the Kings.
As of 2024, he still plays for the Kings.
