Colby Jones is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also played for the Stockton Kings in the NBA G League. He attended Xavier University from 2020 to 2023.

High School and College Career
Jones initially attended Pinson Valley High School before moving to Mountain Brook High School in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
As a senior in 2019, he led his team to the Alabama Class 7A State Championship. He was named the 2019 EYBL Breakout Player of the Year.
Jones played three seasons of college basketball for Xavier University from 2020 to 2023. As a junior in 2022-23, he earned All-Big East Second Team honors.
Professional Career
Jones was selected with the 34th overall pick by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2023 NBA Draft. His draft rights were immediately traded to the Boston Celtics and then to the Sacramento Kings on draft night.
He signed a two-way contract with the Kings, which also allowed him to play for the Stockton Kings in the NBA G League. His contract was converted to a standard one in 2024.
