High School and College Career

He attended Northern Valley High School in Old Tappan, New Jersey. Later, he committed to play college basketball for the University of South Carolina from 2017 to 2021 before transferring to Providence College. He was there from 2021 to 2022.

Professional Career

Minaya turned pro in 2022. He went undrafted during the 2022 NBA draft. He then headed to Mexico to play for the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, signing with the Capitanes de Ciudad de México.

In 2023, he finally joined the NBA when he signed a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers and their NBA G League affiliate team, the Rip City Remix. As of 2024, he still plays for both teams.
