His father Derale Wilson played college basketball at the Texas Christian University in the United States. His dad also played basketball professionally overseas.
High School and College Career
He attended John H. Guyer High School in Denton, Texas. Later, he committed to play college basketball for the University of Kansas and was there from 2019 to 2023.
In 2022, he helped lead his Kansas team to win the NCAA Championship. In 2023, he was given the Julius Erving Award and he was also named the Big 12 Player of the Year.
Professional Career
Wilson turned pro in 2023. He was chosen in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets.
He signed a two-way contract with the team, which also had him play for the Nets’ NBA G League affiliate team, the Long Island Nets.
