High School and College Career
Braun attended Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park, Kansas. In 2019, he was named Mr. Basketball Kansas. Later, he committed to play college basketball for the University of Kansas and was there from 2019 to 2022.
In 2022, he helped lead his team to the NCAA Championships. That year, he was also named to the Second-team All-Big 12.
Professional Career
Braun turned pro in 2022 when he was the 21st overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft, selected by the Denver Nuggets.
He signed a rookie contract with the team in July 2022. In 2023, he was part of the team that won the 2023 NBA Championships.
Since he also won the 2022 NCAA Champion and the 2023 NBA Championship, he became the fifth player in the history of the league to win both in back-to-back seasons.
