High School and College Career

He attended St. Marguerite d'Youville High School in Brampton, Ontario. Later, he transferred to the GTA Prep in Mississauga, Ontario.

Later, he moved to the United States to play college basketball for the University of South Carolina and he was there from 2018 to 2021.

While in college, he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.

Professional Career

Lawson went undrafted during the 2021 NBA Draft. He later signed to play for the NBA G League for the College Park Skyhawks.

In 2022, he signed with several teams, including the Guelph Nighthawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Iowa Wolves.

Also in 2022, he signed with the Dallas Mavericks to a two-way contract that also had him play for the NBA G League team, the Texas Legends.
