David Lee is an American former professional basketball player. He played for the National Basketball Association from 2005 to 2017. In 2015, he became an NBA Champion while he played for the Golden State Warriors.

High School and College Career
He attended Chaminade College Preparatory School in Creve Coeur, Missouri. In 2001, he was named Mr. Show-Me Basketball. The same year, he was also named to the First-team Parade All-American and a McDonald’s All-American.
Later, he committed to play college basketball for the University of Florida and was there from 2001 to 2005. In 2004 and 2005, he was named to the Second-Team All-SEC.
Professional Career
He turned pro in 2005 and was a first-round pick by the New York Knicks during that year’s NBA Draft.
In 2007, he was the NBA Rookie Challenge MVP. He played for the Knicks from 2005 to 2010. In 2010, he was named an NBA All-Star for the first time. From 2010 to 2015, he played for the Golden State Warriors, and in 2013, he was named an All-Star again. In 2015, he became an NBA Champion.
From 2015 to 2016, he played for the Boston Celtics. Then in 2016, he played for the Dallas Mavericks. From 2016 to 2017, he played for the San Antonio Spurs before he retired in 2017.
