Charlie Will Bell III is a professional basketball player from the United States of America who plays as a shooting guard. Bell began his playing career at the Flint Southwestern Academy High School before going on to play an incredible four years at the Michigan State University. Each year, he was named as Michigan State Defensive Player of the Year and helped his team get to 3 NCAA Final Fours.

Despite his performances, Bell was not picked by any team in the 2001 NBA Draft and later, he was picked up as a free agent by the Phoenix Suns. After just 5 games, he was released by the Suns and then went on to sign up with the Phoenix Eclipse, a team in the American Basketball Association. Four games later, he was back on the free-agent market again, this time signing a 10-day deal with the Dallas Mavericks in January of 2002. After the ten-day period, the Mavericks brought him on board for the remainder of the season but Bell only got a couple of games for the Dallas-based franchise.

Bell decided to move to Europe instead and played in the Italian and Spanish Leagues. He first played with Benetton Treviso in the Italian League and helped his side win the title. The following year, he moved to Virtus (Kinder) Bologna but an injury in December meant that he would miss most of the season.

In August of 2003, Bell signed with Mabo Livorno for a year. The following year, he decided to move to Spain where he signed with Leche Rio Breogan Lugo. Bell was a superstar there and was named to the Spanish League First Team in 2004-05. He was named player of the month on four occasions and ended the year as the top-scorer in the league.

In 2005, Bell returned to the United States of America and signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. It wasn’t until March 2006 that Bell actually made his mark on the NBA with a triple-double against the Phoenix Suns. Bell played 59 games in the season and ended with figures of 8.4 ppg, 2.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

The following season, the performance level went further up as he scored 13 points per game with 3 rebounds and 3 assists in an average of 35 minutes on court.
At the end of 2006-07 season, Bell became a free agent and after agreeing to sign with the Miami Heat for a 5-year, $18.5 million deal, remained at the Bucks when the Franchise matched this offer.
