High School and College Career
Sasser attended Red Oak High School in Red Oak, Texas. Later, he committed to play college basketball for the University of Houston and was there from 2019 to 2023.
In 2023, he was given the Jerry West Award and he was also named the ACC Player of the Year. That year, he was also named to the Consensus first-team All-American.
Professional Career
Sasser turned pro in 2023 and was a 1st round pick during the 2023 NBA Draft. He was selected 25th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies. The team later traded him to the Detroit Pistons.
As of the start of 2024, he still plays for the Pistons.
