Youth and Early Professional Career
Coulibaly grew up in Courbevoie, France, and began playing basketball for Courbevoie Sport Basket at age eight. In 2017, he joined the youth team of Levallois Sporting Club Basket.
In 2021, at age 17, Coulibaly began his professional career with Metropolitans 92 in the LNB Espoirs, the French under-21 league.
He was promoted to the senior team in 2022. With Metropolitans 92, he played alongside Victor Wembanyama.
In his lone LNB Pro A season in 2022-23, he helped Metropolitans 92 reach the Pro A finals.
NBA Career
Coulibaly was selected 7th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2023 NBA Draft. He was immediately traded to the Washington Wizards for two future second-round picks.
As of 2024, he still plays for the Wizards.
