Professional Career
He started his professional career playing in KK Jugoplastika, his local basketball team. He played in the EuroLeague through to 1993. During that time, he was the EuroLeague Champion three times He was also named the EuroLeague Final Four MVP three times. In 1990, he was named the FIBA World Championship MVP.
He was drafted into the NBA in 1990 but he did not start playing for the team until 1993. Kukoč played with the Bulls through to 2000. He was part of the Chicago team that won the NBA Championship during their 1996-1998 three-peat. In 1996, he was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year.
In 2000, he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. From 2001-2002, he was with the Atlanta Hawks. In 2002, he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks and he played with them until he announced his retirement from the NBA in September 2006.
In addition to his NBA career, he also represented his home country in FIBA and was named one of FIBA’s 50 Greatest Players.
