Jack Sikma is an American former professional basketball player who played for the Milwaukee Bucks. He was a 7-time NBA All-Star and won an NBA Championship with the Seattle SuperSonics in 1979. Sikma was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. He is widely regarded as one of the most remarkable shooting big men.

Jack Wayne Sikma was born and raised in Kaleva, Michigan. He attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where he played college basketball and was included in the NCAA Division III All-American in 2 years. As a senior, he was named the College Player of the Year by The Sporting News.
Career
Sikma was drafted 8th overall by the Seattle SuperSonics, now the Oklahoma City Thunders in the 1977 NBA Draft. He quickly became one of the best players on the team, averaging 16.0 points and 11.4 rebounds per game as a rookie. Sikma made his first All-Star appearance in 1979 and helped lead the SuperSonics to their first NBA Championship that year. He continued to be one of the best players on the team throughout the 1980s, making five more All-Star appearances. Sikma retired from basketball in 1991 after 14 seasons in the NBA.

In 2019, Sikma was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The SuperSonics retired his jersey number (#43) in 2006. Sikma is widely regarded as one of the most incredible shooting big men of all time and one of the best players in SuperSonics history.
