Johnny Baum

He attended West Philadelphia High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Later, Baum played college basketball for Temple University from 1964 to 1968.

Professional Career

Baum's professional basketball career began in 1969 when he was selected by the Chicago Bulls as the 23rd overall pick in the second round of the NBA Draft. He played for the Bulls from 1969 to 1971.

After his stint with the Bulls, Baum transitioned to the American Basketball Association (ABA), joining the New York Nets for two seasons from 1971 to 1973. He continued his ABA career with the Memphis Tams in the 1973-1974 season, followed by a brief period with the Indiana Pacers in 1974.

These years in the ABA allowed Baum to showcase his skills in a different league and adapt to various playing styles.

Following his time in the major leagues, Baum extended his professional career by playing in smaller leagues. He spent two seasons with the Hazleton Bullets from 1974 to 1976, before concluding his playing career with the Allentown Jets from 1976 to 1978.
