P.J. Washington is a professional basketball player who is currently playing for the Charlotte Hornets as the team's power forward. He became the 12th overall selected by the Charlotte Hornets during the 2019 NBA Draft.

Paul Jamaine Washington was born and raised in Texas and attended Lone Star High School. He was rated as a 5-star recruit by Rivals.com and ESPN, and he was ranked 3rd power forward in the state. In November 2016, he chose to play for the Kentucky Wildcats.Unfortunately, during his freshman season, he spent most of his days resting due to his pinkie injury. He also suffered a huge loss to Kansas State despite contributing 10.8 points with 15 rebounds to the team.
Career
After being drafted by the Hornets, he signed a contract with them. He debuted professionally in October 2019 in a match against the Chicago Bulls, and successfully won after leading the team with 27 points with 4 rebounds. In February 2021, he contributed 42 points in a winning match against Sacramento Kings.Career Record
