Professional Career

Burks was a first-round pick during the 2011 NBA Draft and was chosen by the Utah Jazz. He played with the Jazz from 2011 to 2018. In 2017, they assigned him to their NBA G League team, the Salt Lake City Stars.

From 2018 to 2019, he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2019, he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers and later with the Golden State Warriors. In 2020, Philadelphia 76ers then from 2020 to 2022, he played for the New York Knicks.

From 2022 to 2024, he played for the Detroit Pistons before he re-signed with the Knicks in 2024.
