Trey Lyles is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also played for the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, and Detroit Pistons.

High School and College Career
Lyles attended Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a senior in 2014, he was named Indiana Mr. Basketball and a McDonald’s All-American. Rated as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com, Lyles committed to play college basketball for the University of Kentucky.
In his lone season at Kentucky in 2014-15, Lyles helped lead the Wildcats to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.
Professional Career
Lyles was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz. He played two seasons with the Jazz from 2015 to 2017.
In June 2017, Lyles was traded to the Denver Nuggets. He was then traded to the San Antonio Spurs in July 2019. He played two seasons with the Spurs from 2019 to 2021.
In August 2021, Lyles signed with the Detroit Pistons. He was traded to the Sacramento Kings in February 2022. As of 2024, he still plays for the Kings.
