Cody Martin

Cody Martin is a professional basketball player from the United States of America. He plays in the National Basketball Association after being drafted into the league in 2019. He currently plays for the Charlotte Hornets.

Cody Lee Martin was born on September 28, 1995, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in the United States of America. He stands 198 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 93 kg. He is right-handed and he is a small forward.

His twin brother Caleb Martin also plays in the NBA for the Miami Heat.

High School and College Career

Martin attended Davie County High School in Mocksville, North Carolina. Later, he transferred to playing for Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia.

Later, he committed to play college basketball for North Carolina State University and was there from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, he transferred to the University of Nevada and was there until 2018.

In 2018, he was named to the Second-team All-Mountain West and he was also named that year’s Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year.

Professional Career

Martin turned pro in 2019 when he was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets signed him in July 2019 and he made his debut for the team in October of the same year. He re-signed with the Hornets in July 2022.

In November 2022, he had surgery on his left knee. He made his return to active play in January 2023.
