Xavier Moon

Xavier Moon is a professional basketball player from the United States. He played in the Canadian Elite Basketball League and then the National Basketball Association. From 2019 to 2021, he was named the CEBL Player of the Year. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Player Profile and Personal Life

Xavier Moon was born on January 2, 1995, in Goodwater, Alabama in the United States of America. He stands 183 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 75 kg. He plays as a shooting guard.

His brother Jamiro Moon also played in the NBA.

High School and College Career

He attended Central Coosa High School in Hanover, Alabama. Later, he committed to play for the Northwest Florida State University and he was there from 2013 to 2015. He would later transfer to Morehead State University in 2015 and was there through to 2017.

In 2017, he was named to the First-team All-OVC.

Professional Career

In 2017, Moon went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft. Instead of signing with an NBA team outside of the draft, he went to France to play for ALM Evreux.

In 2018, he moved to Canada to play for the Canadian Elite Basketball League for the London Lighting and later the Edmonton Stingers. While in the CEBL, he was thrice named the CEBL Player of the Year and twice named the CEBL Final MVP. In 2020 and 2021, he also led the Stingers to win the CEBL Champion.

In 2021, he signed with the Agua Caliente Clippers. That same year, he was called up to play for the Los Angeles Clippers. He would go back and forth between the Clippers and their NBA G League Affiliate teams, including Agua Caliente and the Ontario Clippers.

In 2023, he signed a two-way contract with the Clippers and their G League team, Ontario.
