In 2020, he was named the Mountain West Player of the Year and in the same year, he was also named to the First-team All-Mountain West. He was also 2020’s Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year.
Professional Career
Flynn was a first-round pick during the 2020 NBA Draft, selected 29th overall by the Toronto Raptors. In addition to the Raptors, he also plays for their NBA G League team, the Raptors 905.
In 2021, he was named to the NGA G League All-Rookie Team and the All-NBA G League Second Team.
He was traded to the New York Knicks in December 2023.
In February 2024, Flynn was traded to the Detroit Pistons. On April 3, 2024, he erupted for a career-high 50 points off the bench in a loss to the Hawks, tying the second-highest scoring game by a reserve in NBA history.
