The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Agbaji with the 14th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. However, he was traded to the Utah Jazz in September 2022 before playing a regular-season game for the Cavaliers.

In 2022, he also played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League. Then in 2024, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors.
