Greg Ballard is a former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. In 1978, he became an NBA Champion while playing with the then-Washington Bullets. In addition to the NBA, he also played internationally in the Italian Basketball League.

High School and College Career
Ballard attended Garey High Scholl in Pomona, California. He later went on to play for the University of Oregon from 1973 to 1977.While in college, he was named to the First-team All-Pac-8 twice. In 1977, he was also named to the Consensus Second-team All-American.
Professional Career
Ballard was drafted into the NBA in 1977 and was selected by the Washington Bullets. In 1978, he and the Bullets won the 1978 NBA Championship. From 1985 to 1987, he played for the Golden State Warriors.From 1987 to 1989, he played in Italy for VL Pesaro and Libertas Foril. Before he retired, he joined the Seattle SuperSonics for a while. He left the NBA in 1989.
