John Bagley did his schooling from the Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He later attended the Boston College where he played with the college basketball team called the Boston College Eagles. In 1982, Bagley was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played five seasons for the Cavaliers scoring a career best of 11.7 points per game in the 1985-86 season. In 1987, Bagley was traded to the New Jersey Nets with whom he immediately revised his career best of 12.0 points per game. He was traded to the Boston Celtics in 1989 with whom he played for till 1993 and was exchanged to the Atlanta Hawks. After playing just 3 games for the Hawks, Bagley was released and has not played any professional basketball since.
