High School and College Career
He attended Archbishop Molloy High School where he was schoolmates with Cole Anthony. The two helped lead the school to the semi-finals of the CHSAA. Brown was named a McDonald’s All-American in his senior year.
He committed to play for the University of California Los Angeles. While he was in college, he was named to the 2019 PAC-12 All-Freshman Team.
He declared for the NBA in 2019.
Professional Career
He went undrafted during the 2019 NBA Draft. He was later signed by the Houston Rockets to play for them in that year’s summer league.
In September 2019, he signed a contract with the Portland Trail Blazers. This was later converted to a two-way contract that allowed Brown to play in the NBA G League and the Texas Legends.
In 2020, he signed another two-way contract, this time with the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma City Blue. In 2021, he was named to the All-NBA G League First Team and the NBA G League All-Defensive Team.
In June 2021, he was traded to the Boston Celtics. The Celtics later traded him to the Dallas Mavericks.
He was waived by the Mavericks and in 2022, he was signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers for a 10-day contract. In July 2022, he joined the Los Angeles Clippers on a training camp contract. He also played for the Ontario Clippers.
In 2023, he signed with the Westchester Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets for short periods before signing with Portland again.
As of 2024, he still plays for Portland and Rip City.
