College Basketball
He did not receive college offers after high school. As a result, he went on to attend Frank Phillips College. For his final two years, he attended Missouri State. While there, he was named the MVC Newcomer of the Year.
In 2017, he declared for the NBA, forgoing his remaining year of college eligibility.
NBA
He was selected by the Indiana Pacers during the 2018 NBA draft. He was picked in the second round and he was their 50th overall pick. He debuted in the NBA in October of that year after he signed with the team earlier in July.
In 2020, he played for the Toronto Raptors after he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the team. He was later signed to play for their affiliate G League team, the Raptors 905. In March 2021, he signed a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets.
He later signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls in 2021. They waived him in December of that year. A couple of days later, he was signed by the Washington Wizards to a 10-day contract. In March 2022, he signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans.
