Enes Freedom is a professional basketball player who last played for the Boston Celtics as the team’s center. He was born in Zürich, Switzerland, but their family moved to Turkey in the meantime. His family decided to live permanently in the US as a teenager.

Freedom is a practicing Muslim and still observes Ramadan during the NBA playoffs. He also believes in fasting even when playing basketball. Aside from basketball, he is also an active contributor and philanthropist by holding 16 free basketball camps across the US.

Early Life

When Freedom moved to the US, he decided to attend Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada to play basketball. However, the school wasn’t able to allow him to play basketball due to his Nike contract. He later attended Mountain State Academy and Stoneridge Preparatory School, but only Stoneridge allowed him to play.
