High School and College Career

Morris attended Flint Beecher High School in Flint, Michigan. Later, he committed to play college basketball for Iowa State University and was there from 2013 to 2017.

In 2013, he was named Michigan Mr. Basketball. He was also named to the First-team Parade All-American. In 2015 and 2016, Morris was named to the Second-team All-Big 12. Then in 2017, he was named to the First-team All-Big 12.

Professional Career

Morris turned pro in 2017 when he declared for the 2017 NBA Draft and was selected in the 2nd round by the Denver Nuggets. He would play for the Nuggets from 2017 to 2022. During that time, he also spent part of the 2017-2018 seasons, playing for their NBA G League affiliate team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

In 2022, he signed with the Washington Wizards, and then from 2023 to 2024, he played for the Detroit Pistons. In early 2024, he signed on with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
