He attended The Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee. He transferred to East High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Then he committed to play college basketball for the University of Memphis and was there from 2019 to 2020.In 2019, he was named Tennessee Mr. Basketball. That same year, he was also named a McDonald’s All-American and the Gatorade Player of the Year. He was also given the Morgan Wootten National Player of the Year Award in 2019.
In November 2019, he was involved in a controversy when the NCAA ruled him to be ineligible to play for the university basketball team. However, the university helped him and his family to move to Memphis.
Professional Career
Wiseman turned pro in 2020 and was the second overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, selected by the Golden State Warriors. In 2022, he also played for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G League.In 2022, Wiseman became an NBA Champion along with the rest of the Warriors. In 2023, he signed with the Detroit Pistons. As of the start of 2024, he still plays for the Pistons.
In addition to his professional career, he plays for the United States internationally. In 2017, he was part of the team that won the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Argentina.
