Gabriel Deck is an Argentine basketball player who recently plays for Real Madrid as the team’s small forward and power forward player. Deck was born and raised in Santiago del Estero.
Professional Pre-NBA Career
When he was 16 years old, Deck attended a youth camp called Basketball Without Borders, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was later declared as the camp’s Most Valuable Player.
Before Deck joined NBA, he had a handful of experiences in his country. In 2016, he joined the San Lorenzo, where they won the 2018 FIBA Americas League championship. As the top performer of his team, he was named the league’s Grand Final MVP. In 2018, he signed with Real Madrid and had debuted only 4.4 points with 2.4 rebounds per game. After his contract, he decided to sign a multi-year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In January 2022, Deck was waived by OKC and moved back to Spain to play for Real Madrid.
Joining the National Team
In 2012, Deck joined the 2012 and 2013 FIBA Under-17 World Cup, where his team was chosen All-Tournament Team. He also decided to play with the men’s Argentine national basketball issue in the 2015 FIBA AmeriCup. Deck also managed to play at the 2016 SUmmer Olympics.
Deck’s Special Skills
Deck made a great impact in playing basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers. Many analysts have noted him as a role model because he could do whatever tasks he was asked to do. He is also taking complementary roles.
