Originally, KJ had committed to play college basketball for Vanderbilt. He later decided to go for postgraduate studies at IMG Academy.

Professional Career

He was drafted into the NBA during the 2020 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Sacramento Kings during the second round. He was their 52nd overall pick. The Kings later traded him to the Houston Rockets.

He signed with the Rockets in November 2020 and they placed him in their NBA G League affiliate team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He debuted in the G League in February 2021.

He was called up to play for the Rockets a few months later. He made his NBA Summer League debut in August 2021.

In 2023, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
