Chris Chiozza is an American professional basketball player. As of the 2021 season, he is signed to a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors. He also plays for the Santa Cruz Warriors, their G League Team. Chiozza stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and his listed weight is 175 pounds. He plays point guard. He attended the White Station High School in Memphis, Tennessee. For his college career, he played for the University of Florida’s Gators. He was with them from 2014 to 2018.

Chiozza was born Christopher Xavier Chiozza on November 21, 1995in Memphis, Tennessee. For high school, he attended the White Station High School and played under the coaching of Jesus Patino. As a junior player, he averaged 27 points in an important game. This led him to be noticed by more colleges. Rivals ranked him as No.45 in his class. He then went on to receive several college-offers including those from Auburn University, the University of Massachusetts’s Minutemen, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the University of Richmond, and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He eventually decided on playing for the University of Florida.

During his college career, Chiozza is noted for having made a buzzer 3-pointer, during the 2017 NCAA Tournament. This led his team to a close win against the Wisconsin Badgers at a score of 84.-83. He said that he thought of passing, but he took the winning shot instead. During his junior year, he averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 assists per game. In his senior year, he was designated as starter and he had a 3.33 assist turnover ratio. He broke the record set by Erving Walker for the most assists. For that season, he averaged 11.1 points. He was later named First Team All-SEC. In 2018, he played in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

He went undrafted during the 2018 NBA Draft. He later joined the Washington Wizards for that year’s Summer League. Chiozza would later join the Wizards’ training camp. After being waived by the team in October 2018, he was named to the Capital City Go-Gos. Other teams he has played for include the Houston Rockets, where he signed a 10-day contract with them though he did not appear in any of their games. He later played for their G League team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Chiozza also played for the New Orleans Pelicans. The Rockets waived him in 2019.

He later re-signed with the Washington Wizards where he split his time with Capital City Go-Go. In January of 2020, he signed with the Brooklyn Nets. In August of 2021, Chiozza signed a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors. He also plays for their G League team, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
