Elijah Bryant
United StatesElijah Brigham Bryant is a professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association currently signed under the Milwaukee Bucks. He stands 6 feet and 5 inches and plays the shooting guard position. Before entering the professional world of basketball in 2018, he played for Brigham Young University and Elon University.
Bryant began his basketball journey at a very young age. During high school, he grew close to a foot within a year. With this great advantage, he played for the New Hampton School basketball team and averaged 4 assists, 4 rebounds and 13 points per game.
After high school, Bryant started playing basketball for Elon University. During his freshman year in the said university, he was named the Rookie of the Year by the Colonial Athletic Association. This award earned him a spot in the CAA All-Rookie and Third-Team All-CAA Team. After finishing a year at Elon, he transferred to Brigham Young University where he finished his sophomore and junior years. While in Brigham Young, he was named First-Team All-WCC.
It was in 2018 when Bryant leaped from amateur to professional basketball. He was undrafted in the NBA draft that year, but decided to join the NBA Summer League under the Philadelphia 76ers. His official professional debut was on August 30 under the Israeli Premier League. He played for Hapoel Eilat after signing a one-year contract. By December of the same year, he was named Israeli League Player of Month. In 2019, he was part of the All-Israeli League First Team.
From 2019-2021, Bryant signed a two-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He also joined the 2019 NBA Summer League. By May 10, 2021, he officially ended his contract with Maccabi before signing in with the Milwaukee Bucks on May 13, 2021. He was part of the team when it won the NBA Championship.
