Kent Bazemore is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He stands at 6 feet and 4 inches and his listed weight is 195lbs. As of the 2021 season, he plays for Los Angeles Lakers as a shooting guard and small forward.

He attended Bertie High School and Old Dominion University. He was initially drafted into the Golden State Warriors in 2012, before being traded for other teams. He was re-traded back to the Warriors in 2020. Other teams he has played for include the Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Sacramento Kings. He also played in the G-League for the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Bazemore was born Kenneth Lamont Bazemore, Jr. on July 1, 1989. He grew up with the nickname Kent. He was born in Kelford, North Carolina, and attended Bertie Highschool. Kent joined the Monarchs at Old Dominion University as a shooting guard. He shined during his college basketball career and helped the Monarchs achieve several NCAA successes.

He was named was the CAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2012. He was also made a part of the CAA All-Defensive Team, three times for 2010, 2011, and 2012. In 2011, he was also awarded the Lefty Driesell Award, a recognition given to defensive players. For the 2011 to 2012 season, Bazemore was also named the CAA Preseason Player of the Year. In 2016, his university retired his jersey number and made him a part of their Athletic Ring of Honor. He earned degrees in Human Services and Criminal Justice from Old Dominion.

He went undrafted in the NBA’s 2012 Draft. He signed with the Golden State Warriors after he joined them for the Las Vegas Summer League. In his rookie season, he also played for the G-league team, the Santa Cruz Warriors. Along with MarShon Brooks, Bazemore was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in February 2014. In April, he suffered an injury that left him unable to play for the rest of the 2014 season. Later that year, he signed with the Atlanta Hawks. He was later traded to the Portland Trail Blazers and then to the Sacramento Kings. In December 2020, he signed a one-year contract with his old team, the Golden State Warriors.
