High School and College Career
Vučević attended the Stoneridge Preparatory in Simi Valley, California. Later, he committed to play college basketball for the University of Southern California and was there from 2008 to 2011.
In that time, he was a 2011 AP honorable mention All-American, 2011 First-team All-Pac-10, and 2010 Second-team All-Pac-10.
Professional Career
He started his professional career playing for Buducnost in 2011. That same year, he declared for the NBA and was a first-round pick during the 2011 NBA Draft, selected 16th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers.
He only played for a season with the 76ers before he moved to play for the Orlando Magic. Vučević was with the Magic from 2012 to 2021. In that time, he was named an NBA All-Star twice – in 2012 and 2021.
In 2021, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls alongside Al-Farouq Aminu. In June 2023, he signed a three-year contract extension with the Bulls, worth a reported US$60 million.
