Jeff Adrien
Born on February 10, 1986, Jeff Adrien is an American professional basketball player. He is currently the player for San Lorenzo de Almagro of the Liga Nacional de Basquet, Argentina. Jeff Adrien also played for the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 2009 until 2016.
Prior to his professional basketball career days, Jeff Adrien used to serve as the team captain for the University of Connecticut Huskies. He played as a power forward for the University and was on a full scholarship with the school. During the NBA pre-draft measurements, Adrien demonstrated as a potential rebounder despite being shorter than average compared to other players.
Although Adrien was not drafted in the 2009 NBA draft, Leite Rio Greogan, a Spanish League in Lugo, Galicia signed him in instead. During the 2009 to 2010 season, he was invited to play in the Orlando Pro Summer League. He was the one that lead the team in terms of rebounding.
From the year 2010 to 2011 season, he played for Orlando Magic under the Orlando Pro Summer League. That same year Adrien was invited to the Golden State Warriors training camp. However, despite being on the training camp with the Warriors, he was not signed in to the team as the Warriors decide to take Acie Law. In 2011, he was re-signed again to play with the Golden State Warriors, but was then waived again after a few months with the team.
During the 2011 – 2012 season, Adrien signed a one-year contract with Benetton Treviso in Italy. While on a one-year contract with Benetton, there was an out clause for Adrien to return to NBA once the NBA lockout ended in 2011. At the end of the year, he signed in with Houston Rockets but was waved again in 2012. In the year 2014 to 2015 season, Adrien returned to Houston Rockets the second time but was waived again after a few months.
From 2016 to 2017 season signed up with Bnei Herzliya under the Israeli Premier League. During his stint with the league, he managed to help the team reach the second round on the FIBA Europe Cup. Currently, Adrein is with Al-Ittihad Jeddah, a premier basketball league of Saudi.
