The American professional basketball player Jaylen Tairique Adams played for the National Basketball Association's Milwaukee Bucks. He also played at St. Bonaventure Bonnies college basketball, and in 2018 he earned co-Atlantic ten-year conference player honors. Adams missed his senior season's first six games. Adams scored 40 and 44 points against Duquesne and St. Louis in February 2018. As a senior, Adams was Atlantic 10's fourth-leading scorer with 19.1 per game and 5.2 assists per game. In the NCAA Tournament, he brought St. Bonaventure to 26-8 records and shocked UCLA. He was named Peyton Aldridge's conference co-player of the year. After the season, Adams was invited to the All-Star Game of Reese's College but was missed by an ankle injury and played at the Portsmouth Invitation Tournament in place.

The Atlanta Hawks signed Adams in a two-way deal, which was undrafted in the 2018 draft of the NBA. Under the terms of the contract, the Hawks and their NBA G League member, the Erie BayHawks, shared time. On October 17, 2018, Adams made his NBA debut, recording a rebound and assisting for a 127-106 loss in 4 minutes of play for the NY Knicks. He scored 23 points at the debut in his G League in a victory over the Grand Rapids Drive. The Atlanta Hawks revealed on February 20, 2019, that they had signed a multi-year deal with Adams again. The Hawks waived Adams on July 13, 2019.

Adams signed a deal for the Milwaukee Bucks with Exhibit 10 on August 20, 2019. He was reduced to training camps and assigned to the Wisconsin Herd, a Bucks' G League member. In a 122–115 win against the Grand Rapids Drive, Adams had a season-high 39 points with six 3-pointers. Adams launched a career-leading 14-point contribution on March 4, 2020, to the Canton Charge with 19 points in a 106-108 draw. He was 21.5 points on average, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.4 aids in each Herd game.

After the G League season, the veteran forward, Trevor Ariza, who decided to return to Orlando from the NBA because of child custody, signed the Portland Trail Blazers during the COVID-19 NBA reboots. Several games with lower back injury Adams missed. The Milwaukee Bucks announced on November 24, 2020, that they signed a two-way deal with Adams. On March 4, 2021, the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly waived Adams in seven games.
