Patrick McCaw is an American professional basketball player and a two-time NBA champion. He is currently playing in the shooting guard position for the Golden State Warriors.

He first attended Christian Brothers College High School before transferring to Montrose Christian School. While playing for the basketball team, he led the team to the division title and was 38 in the list of the top shooting guards in the country.

After graduating from high school, he went to the University of Nevada – Las Vegas where he quickly became a topnotch player on the hard court. During his sophomore year, he was ranked as the 2nd player with the most steals in the nation. He declared for the NBA draft on April 4, 2016.

McCaw was picked by the Milwaukee Bucks on June 23, 2016 but was eventually traded to the Golden State Warriors. He then joined the Warriors for the 2016 NBA Summer League. He played for a couple of minutes on their season opener but was later relegated to the Santa Cruz Warriors.

After just a day, he was taken in again by the Warriors to replace Klay Thompson who couldn’t play due to an illness. His game began to improve that he also played starting forward when Kevin Durant injured his knee.

During his first playoffs, he became the first rookie in the league to score at least 18 points off the bench since James Harden. The Warriors went on to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals. In the 2017 to 2018 Season, McCaw became a restricted free agent.
