Tiny Archibald is a retired professional basketball player who spent 14 years playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This American Basketball Hall of Famer was part of the Cincinnati Royals, New York Nets, Buffalo Braves, Boston Celtics, and Milwaukee Bucks during his career.

A neighborhood legend, Archibald was in and out of his high school varsity team until his mentors helped him reach his true potential. He became the team captain and a 1966 All-city selection. After high school he first enrolled at Arizona Western College and then transferred to University of Texas – El Paso.

In the 1970 NBA Drift, Archibald was drafted by Cincinnati Royals/Kansas City Kings and ABA’s Texas Chaparrals. He went on to become the sole player to win titles within the same season in both leagues. From 1970 to 1976, Archibald played for the Kansas City Kings and where he broke NBA records for the guard position.

He was traded to the New York Nets and again to Buffalo Braves for the 1976 to 1977 Season. Unfortunately, Archibald suffered from a torn Achilles tendon and was unable to play for the Buffalo Braves. He was traded to the Boston Celtics before the start of the 1977 to 1978 Season.

While he was still adjusting health-wise and performance-wise, Archibald was still able to help the Celtics achieve their best record in the league for three years. In the 1980-1981 Season, he won his first and only NBA Championship with the Celtics. His career statistics are 16,481 points, 6,476 assists, and 2,046 rebounds.
