At Iowa State, Alexander was a dominant force, finishing his career as the school’s third all-time leading scorer with 1,892 points. He was named to the All-Big Eight team three times, including first-team honors in his junior and senior seasons.
Professional Career
Alexander was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 17th overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft.
He played his first four NBA seasons with the Warriors from 1991 to 1995.
After leaving the NBA in 1995, Alexander played professionally in various countries including Argentina, Puerto Rico, Greece, Israel, and Spain. He briefly returned to the NBA with the Detroit Pistons for the 2001-02 season.
While away from the NBA, he won the Israeli League Championship and the Israeli Cup in 1999. In 2003 and 2004, he also helped his team win the Russian Championship.
He was also named to the All-EuroLeague First Team in 2003. In 2001, he was the EuroLeague Finals Top Scorer.
