Michael Adams is a former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He has played for teams like the Sacramento Kings, Washington Bullets, and the Charlotte Hornets. He attended Hartford Public High School. He later went on to play collegiate basketball for Boston College. While there, he was named to the Second-team All-Big East twice.
Professional Career
In 1985, he was drafted into the NBA by the Sacramento Kings. That year, he also played for the Sacramento Flame. He also spent that season playing for the Bay State Bombardiers.For the 1986-1987 season, he played for the Washington Bullets, and from 1987 to 1991, he played for the Denver Nuggets. He returned to Washington in 1991 and played with them through to 1994. While there, was named an NBA All-Star in 1992.
For the 1994-1995 season, he played for the Charlotte Hornets.
In 1999, he started his coaching career and coached the Richmond Rhythm of the International Basketball League. He was also an assistant coach at the Vancouver Grizzlies, Memphis Grizzlies, Washington Mystics, the University of Maryland, and Archbishop Carroll High School.
