Brown attended Winnfield Senior High School in Winnfield, Louisiana, where he played for the Winnfield Tigers. He played college basketball at Louisiana Tech University from 1988 to 1992.Professional Career
Brown was selected by the New Jersey Nets with the 29th overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft.He began his professional career with Panionios in Greece before joining the Nets in the 1993–94 NBA season. Brown played for the Nets until 1996, then joined the Miami Heat, where he played until 2000.
He played for the Charlotte Hornets from 2000 to 2002, then for the New Orleans Hornets from 2002 to 2006. Brown spent the 2006–2007 season with the Chicago Bulls and concluded his NBA career with the Boston Celtics in 2008, winning an NBA championship in his final season.
