San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan has labelled team-mate Tony Parker as “unbelievable” after guiding his side to a 93-89 win over Memphis Grizzlies in Game 2 of their NBA Conference Final.
Parker had a remarkable 18 assists in the victory, which gives the Spurs a 2-0 advantage in their series. The Frenchman also finished with 14 points in the overtime victory.
“He was unbelievable,” Duncan said. “I know he’s exhausted. We asked a lot of him.
“He was controlling the ball every time down the floor and he was making every right play there was.
“He was finding people, and people knocked down shots for him.”
Spurs had led by as much as 18 points during the contest but the Grizzlies fought back to force overtime.
Duncan added: “I hate that we gave up that big of a lead in that situation. But we were resilient enough to go to overtime and not let it affect us.”
