Antonio McDyess is one of the oldest starters for the Detroit Pistons but also the only one without a championship title. Not surprisingly, he always seemed to have the greatest sense of urgency. After being driven out by the Celtics in the semi finals, McDyess sat frustrated and quiet in his locker room and honestly answered every last question to the media, including whether he thought Joe Dumars might make serious changes to the roster list this summer.
Though frustrated and sad, McDyess honestly said to the media that “He has very less chances of staying with the Pistons after such a disappointing performance.” He added, “What went on this year, I can just say we didn’t give it our all.”
McDyess was roughly honest in criticizing his team’s effort. “It’s like, we get all pumped up, the whole season we play with all our body, mind soul and we go through the first round, the second round and get to the third round and we don’t give it like we normally give it. It’s like we step out there like zombies sometimes.”
Meetings will be held soon to discuss the team’s squad for the next season. Currents reports have shown signs that many of the roosters would be drafted to other teams this summer.
