Kendrick Perkins becoming a Dominant Force

Everybody thought Al Jefferson was the Celtics big man with all the offensive moves in the post back when Al and Kendrick Perkins were the young big man duo.

Everybody thought Al Jefferson was the Celtics big man with all the offensive moves in the post back when Al and Kendrick Perkins were the young big man duo. After Jefferson was traded to Minnesota in the epic Kevin Garnett trade, Perkins had to improve to show he could be a starter in the NBA.kendrick perkins

Well, he has more than done that. “KP43” has established himself as a dominant center in the NBA. His defense has always been there. He is a strong, aggressive, and smart defender. Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic said Perkins was the best defensive center he played against during the 2009 playoffs.

Now Perk has implemented a couple nice post moves to his offensive repertoire. He is a constant double double threat, and is no longer a guy you can help off of on defense. Perk’s emergence comes at a perfect time because teammate Kevin Garnett would be best to take it slow after returning from a 2009 season ending knee injury.

The Celtics are off to a solid start, and Perkins is the reason for it. His defense, offense, and aggressive and passionate play have motivated his teammates. When you see a guy giving his all, you must also give your team all you got. kevin garnett
