The Rocky Mountain Revue summer league has been a regular fixture on the Utah Jazz organization’s calendar every year however, Las Vegas will be disappointed after the team announced that there would be no summer league this year. >
The Jazz claimed that since the summer league was started in Las Vegas, the number of teams signing up for it has steadily diminished every year. According to the team president, Randy Rigby, teams that were initially known to play in the Utah League and in Las Vegas have decided to take part in only one edition at most times. The Las Vegas league has won preference in those cases.
The Revue faced hardships last year too as only five teams had signed up for it then. As a result, this year the Utah-based franchise will send a team to the Orlando summer league instead of hosting the Revue. Depending on the state of the economy, the Revue might take place next year.
