LeBron James is not wasting his time on trash talk and is not going into a war of words with Dillon Brooks of the Memphis Grizzlies, refusing to add any more fuel to the fire.

In Game 2, the two players stared each other down during the Grizzlies’ win of 103-93, evening out the first round of the NBA Playoffs Series.

After the game, Brooks was not as avoidant of conflict as James would be later. He did not shy away from inflammatory comments and called James “old”.

Last Friday, James was asked about those comments but he brushed it off with one-word answers.

When asked if he thought that trash talk ever influenced the outcome of a playoff series. He said: “The game is won between the four lines. Always has, always will be.”

Later, he seemed to address the issue and cut off his media availability by saying that he was, “not here for the Bull**,” and promptly walked away.

Despite his one-word responses, the message is clear from James. He is not interested in extending the verbal arguments with Brooks.

He will likely instead show up on the court and did so as he led his team to victory against the Grizzlies in Game 3 on Saturday.
