The Golden State Warriors are hopeful Steph Curry will return to active play next week.

Bob Myers, Warriors general manager and president of basketball operations said that the team hopes Curry will be recovered enough from his lower left injury to be able to play in next weeks away game.

In speaking to 95.7 The Game, Myers said:

“I mean, that’s the hope, I think the reason why we can’t give you more definitive information is it is kind of predicated on how he feels, can he get up to the workload. He’s just started some live stuff, two-on-two, three-on-three stuff where he’s getting out there and trying to feel contact again, get comfortable.

“The smart and real answer, they’re going to see how he feels tomorrow, they’re going to see how he feels the next day. And so hopefully he is. That would be great, but also we certainly don’t want him coming back and then he’s not ready. That would be a big mistake.”

Another source stating the same is ESPNs Adrian Wojnarowski who said that the Warriors are optimistic that Curry will be in good form.

In his tweet, he said:

Theres optimism Golden States Steph Curry (left lower leg) will return sometime on next weeks three-game road trip, which begins Sunday vs. Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors play the Oklahoma Thunders on Tuesday and Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. Curry has been out since suffering an injury on Feb.

The Warriors also tweeted that Curry was making good progress.
