Kevin Durant Sprains Right Knee

Kevin Durant has sprained the MCL on his right knee.

The decorated player left Sundays game with the injury. On Monday, the Brooklyn Nets announced that the player has sustained an MCL Sprain.

However, they did not put a timetable on when he will be fit enough to play again.

ESPNs Adrian Wojnarowski Tweeted on the matter:

Durant had sustained the injury when he collided with Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler in the third quarter of the game.

Butler had fallen to court after his shot was blocked. He collided with Durant on his way down. Durant immediately grabbed his knee in pain then got up and limped to the locker rooms on his own.

Shortly thereafter, he was ruled out of the game with a knee injury.

Head Coach Jach Vaugh told reporters after the game that they would know more about the extent of his injury after he goes through an evaluation.

Last season, Durant sprained the ACL on his left knee. It caused him to miss 21 games. He was also sidelined with an injury for the entire 2019-2020 season after he ruptured his Achilles tendon.

The Nets championship hopes rest on Durants shoulders and they are certainly hoping that he will be back on your soon.
