Grant Williams, a forward for the Boston Celtics, has been suspended for one game after he bumped and used inappropriate language with a referee.
His suspension is going to be served on Friday and will see him sit out the game between the Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
During the Celtics loss on Monday night, Williams received a technical foul and was ejected from the game during the fourth quarter.
The referee had called him for offensive blocking while he was defending Zach LaVine. In protest, he jumped and made physical contact with referee Cheryl Flores.
Williams joined the Celtics back in 2019 when he was picked by the team in the first round. In May this year, he scored career-high points of 27 points during a match with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The NBA also posted their announcement of Grants one-game suspension on their Twitter Page.
