Veteran Andre Igoudala re-signs with the Golden State Warriors for his 19th NBA Season.

He is set to travel with the team to Japan to play on Tuesday for the pre-season.

ā€œThe way information travels so fast now it’s like you almost forget what we just did. We’re still the champs and it runs until we’re not the champs,ā€ he said.

ā€œI don’t know if it’s 300 days or 600 days, but just basking in it because when you’re going to look back like 25 years from now you’re going to wish you embraced it a little bit more,ā€ he also added.

The 2015 NBA Finals MVP said that coming to the decision to stay was ā€œa little bit of a rollercoaster’’.

ā€œI had jumped back and forth like two times, and it’s literally exhausting to jump back and forth, like alright I’m in and then I worked out like two times and I was like ā€˜for what?’,ā€ said Iguodala.

Aside from the encouraging words he received from Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jonathan Kumiga, Igoudala was also encouraged after he had a talk with Rick Celebrini, Vice President of Player Health and Performance.

ā€œIf he had not mapped out that plan I wouldn’t have been as comfortable,Iguodala said. ā€˜ā€˜I think that’s what kind of sealed the deal.

He had rejoined the Golden State Warriors just last season after spending two years with Miami. He was one of the key players as the Warriors won the title last season.

'’I really just play for the joy of the game,ā€ he said.

Steve Kerr, Golden State coach was also positive about re-signing Igoudala.

He said: ā€œJust makes my job so much easier because we have so many young guys and they need coaching, they need mentoring. Andre’s the best there is with that,*Kerr said. *And he loves working with the younger guys. As a player, he sort of makes everything work because he knows exactly where he needs to be and so he makes every lineup click, and then if he’s not on the court he’s teaching these young guys the same thing. So Andre’s a really crucial part of our whole program, thrilled that he’s back.’’
